A home from home experience for your dog
I am a full-time professional dog boarder and day carer for dogs of all shapes and sizes.
I have achieved a five-star licence rating with North Somerset council, I have public liability insurance and have undertaken canine first aid training.
Having had the pleasure of having dogs as part of the family for many years, I understand the potential stress caused by trying to find the perfect holiday or day retreat for your beloved dog, so you can have a relaxing holiday, night out or concentrate on those busy days at work.
We offer:
Dog Walking
Daycare
Boarding
Yes, I am fully licensed, licence number :042337, with North Somerset District Council achieving a five-star rating for our home boarding, the highest grade available to a new business. Being licensed is your guarantee that we meet the full health and safety requirements to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your dog. As part of the licence, we have public liability insurance through Protectivity Insurance, full details are available on request
The more information you give me about your dog the easier it is to ensure your dog is kept happy. To aid this your will be required to complete a introduction form for your dog.
We will go through a few stages to ensure that your dog settles.
1. We have a meet and greet session, so your dogs can meet my two resident Golden Retrievers. This will include a short walk, some time in the garden and then a introduction to my home.
2. As part of our licence, I am required to have a trial night for all stays of 3 days and above. This is to ensure that your dog settles and mixes well with our dogs
3. As long as your dog passes points 1 & 2, you will be able to book your dog in for its required stay
Food – You will be required to bring enough food, including special treats (no bones please), to cover the duration of your dog’s stay with us. We suggest bringing a little extra food just in case there are any delays to return flights etc. We will provide basic food and water bowls however if your dog has a specialist bowl such as a slow feeder, please bring these with you.
Beds – Please bring your dog’s bed with you, I ask that it is freshened-up before the visit. I am limited on the number of dogs I can take in at any time so I ensure, when possible, that your dog’s bed is not shared with other dogs.
Leads & collars – Please bring your dog’s lead, if applicable please bring it’s harness and any specialist control attachments normally worn by your dog to ensure your dog can be walked safely. I am required by law to always have a collar or harness on your dog while in our care. On arrival, your dog will be fitted with a collar tag showing our contact details
Vaccination Certificate – An up-to-date vaccination certificate, including Kennel cough must be seen before any dog can be left with me.
As part of the booking process, you will receive the following:
⦁ Introduction form – This gives you the opportunity to tell us all about your dog, including its feeding regime, the administration of medication, its likes and its dislikes. The more you tell us the easier it will be for us to ensure your dog has a happy stay
⦁Authorisation forms – This covers letting your dog off the lead, feeding, socialising and if applicable the use of a dog crate. Please note I do not provide dog crates and they will only be used if requested and provided by the owner.
The introduction & authorisation forms will need to be completed and returned to us, along with your dog’s vaccination certificate, prior to you dogs stay.
Bookings are not secured until the deposit payment has been made. A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking, with full payment made 4 weeks before the commencement of your dog’s stay.Payments should be made by bank transfer, bank details will be sent to you when you request a booking.
Dogs will be given a minimum of two good walks per day. Being based on the edge of Wick St Lawrence I have quick access to the local countryside where, with your authorisation, your dog can run free with their new friends. We understand that some dogs may not be allowed off the led or be as energetic as others so please let us know of any restrictions and we will ensure they get the walk that suits them.
